Leadership Cape Coral Programs ran under the direction of the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral are a culmination of forums, seminars, and class room training for the current and future leaders of our community. With each program, there is a dynamic twist of knowledge for everyone. Beginning with the Junior Leadership Program for high school students, to the business professional of our community, join us in our quest to grow Cape Coral and in working with the leaders of our future.

Note: All Leadership Programs require a major time commitment for participants.

Junior Leadership
Junior Leadership Cape Coral is a proactive program for high school juniors who reside in the city of Cape Coral.  The goal of the program is to provide supplemental learning possibilities to students interested in achieving leadership skills before leaving their high school years.  Focus is on preparation for their future by learning about their local community.  This is done in a eight (8) week program filled with forums, specialized tours, and education by local business leaders.  Students will examine local community issues at a mock City Council meeting. They will learn about the unique history of Cape Coral and meet our local government officials. They will tour a local television station where they will have an opportunity to meet television journalists.  They will visit a local hospital, speak with medical professionals and learn about medical careers. All this and more!

The Junior Leadership Class of 2008 will be selected from junior level students from Mariner High School, Cape Coral High School, Ida Baker High School and North Fort Myers High School.  Home-schooled students of the same grade level are welcome to participate as well. Applications will be in eligible schools by October 1st or can be obtained at the Chamber of Commerce offices. Selections will be made in late November for the program which will begin each January and run through March.  Please note that this program requires a major time commitment for participants.

Leadership Cape Coral
Leadership Cape Coral is a proactive thirteen (13) week series of forums, seminars, and field trips that have been custom designed to explore the many challenges and opportunities facing the community leaders of tomorrow.

Under the direction of the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral, Leadership Cape Coral has been formed to develop year after year a pool of leaders that share a common knowledge and vision for the City of Cape Coral.

This intensive hands-on program begins with a mandatory kick-off retreat over two (2) days, Friday, August 15 and Saturday, August 16 and runs each Thursday, culminating with a gala graduation celebration on November 14. Our programs will be held at various locations throughout the city and county and the participants will share many experiences. Program days are scheduled with learning experiences and business contacts that will last a lifetime.
