Farmers Market
October 27th is going to be a
great day to buy “just picked” tomatoes, fresh corn, succulent
seafood & clams and juicy, fresh fruit! The sun will be shining,
(hopefully); the skies will be clear (also hopefully), and The
Cape Coral Farmers Market will open for another season of the
freshest produce and fruit that you can find anywhere! All right
in your own backyard! Well, almost your backyard. The market is
held in “Club Square”, which
is located on S.E.
10th Place, just north of
S.E. 47th Terrace. (Look for the Bingo Hall, The
Vineyards Church, The Elks Club, or La Venezia and you are
almost there!)
This
year, the market will open on Saturday, October 27h
and run until May 10th. The hours will be
from 8:00am to 1:00pm every Saturday. Your favorite
vendors will be back and some new ones will be joining the
market this year. Along with the freshest produce, you can
indulge in fresh- from- the- boat shrimp, grouper and stone
crab. Al the Flower Guy, will bring those beautiful,
fresh cut flowers at the low, low prices that
Cape Coral
has come to know and love. You can practice your French as
you buy the buttery pastries, croissants and breads from
Julian’s French Bakery or you can practice German with the folks
from Ol’Times German Bakery. You must try their famous
Pretzel Bread!
Jeff from “Venus Veggies” will be back with
his home grown herbs, greens and organic veggies that people
line up every Saturday to get. Rosie from Miami will have her beautiful array of orchids
and tropical plants that will enhance your landscape at the most
reasonable prices you will find anywhere. Once again we
will have live music by some of our local residents and schools,
cooking demonstrations from local chefs and art exhibits to make
your day at the market fun.
This is just a sampling of what is in store
for the next seven months. The prediction is that Cape Coral can look forward to every Saturday
being sunny and bright from October 27h through May
10th! Come taste the harvest of the season!
